Challenge Description:

In this month’s challenge we need you to keep your eyes peeled for the perfect situation.  A photographic opportunity that will present itself where your subject matter will “stand out from the crowd”.  Use your imagination and find that moment where everything lines up for that perfect shot.

Please keep digital manipulation to a minimum; your photograph should faithfully represent the scene as you saw it.

For this competition you had to capture an expression or look of an animal that gave some insight into their personality.  The photos could be of any kind of animal.

Challenge Description:

What inspires you?  What thought, object, vista, event or person has moved you more than any other?  We invited you to share your most inspiring images and stories with the world by entering our competition last month.

Photos had to be of objects, people, or environments; they could also convey artistic gestures or graphic messages.  But whatever you submited, you had to make sure it had the power to make an emotional connection with others.

Getpix National Photographic Competition 2010:  Welcomes photographers from all corners of South Africa to submit their photographs.  Following the resounding success of the last two photographic competitions and award gala evenings the challenge is to make this year bigger, better and more fun than ever before. We invite you to join us as we embark on the 2010 adventure, with super categories that will allow your imagination and creativity to run wild. Your efforts will be rewarded with outstanding prizes while supporting the worthy causes of FreeMe Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre in Gauteng and SANCCOB, the folk that save the penguins and birds in our beautiful Cape region. Challenge Name: Dad's day Winners!

Challenge Description:

Father'sday was the inspiration for this idea.  We wanted to see some captured moments of these special men in our lives.  They play such a big role in shaping our existence, through dependability, devotion, and dedication to our happiness.  We wanted to see Dad in his element, enjoying his environment and having fun with his family and friends.  Portraits were also welcome.
